We are proud to announce that on October 18, 2020, our company BHMW as received the EMIRATES QUALITY MARK (AL-ALAMA) quality certificate for the AQUA MARIA spa spring, ("Nová Marie BJ-6" spring), thus becoming the first Czech holder of this certificate in the field. A few years ago, the company purchased the brownfield of an abandoned bottling plant and, under the leadership of the financial director of BHMW as Ondřej Chrto, also succeeded in obtaining support from EU funds for the development of Czech industry. For the subsequent high-quality and sensitive reconstruction, BHMW as received the Ministry of Industry award for "Business Project of the Year" last year. Now the quality of the reconstruction and the newly built production premises has also been verified by a demanding certification process led by the companies ESMA (Emirates Authority For Standardization & Metrology) and TÜV Middle East WLL

The team led by the executive director Mr. Vojtěch Milk worked closely with the applicant for certification, the Dubai distribution company MORAVA TRADING LLC. The certification process was managed from a technical point of view by production director Zdeněk Nogol and technologist Martin Hegr, the packaging design proposal and its visuals were managed by the development department of BHMW a.s. under the leadership of Karel Bašta.

"The certificate obtained is an excellent proof of our honest work and an evaluation of the financial resources and enthusiasm we have invested. We know that the Marian Spa springs deserve world recognition and we are glad that AQUA MARIA will gain its place in such a prestigious market. For every bottle sold with the Marianskolazaň colonnade, a piece of the city's fame is thus transferred to distant regions. We will be happy if the Marianske Lazne springs become an important part of the marketing of our spa industry in foreign markets in the near future." says Vojtěch Milko.

We also asked Vojtěch Milk: "What are the other plans of BHMW as in the export of springs?"
“AQUA MARIA with low mineralization was the least complicated for the certification process and market entry in the Emirates. Also, its visual and graphic style corresponds well with the local taste. But the Arab side perceives AQUA MARIA as the beginning of a much broader cooperation. They are also very interested in springs that are used directly for spa treatment. In the next step, both parties count on the preparation of certificates for Marianskolazaňský Rudolph's spring and, of course, also for the legendary products of the Bílina springs of BHMW as."

Karel Kalivoda, CEO of LLML as answered the question: "How do you perceive the importance of the export of spa springs for the domestic and foreign marketing of the city?"
"Ensana / Léčebné lázně Mariánské Lázně as welcomes the certification of the Mariánské Lázně spring AQUA MARIA and the newly started cooperation with BHMW as The reconstruction of the bottling plant and the newly started distribution of spa springs to the domestic and foreign markets is an important milestone in the modern history of Mariánské Lázně. The certification and sale of AQUA MARIA will significantly help the promotion of the Marianske Lazne destination on prestigious foreign markets. Martin Hurajčík, 1st Deputy Governor of the Karlovy Vary region noted:
"I am extremely happy that BHMW has received such a certification. It is an important moment not only for the company, but also for Mariánské Lázně and the Karlovy Vary region. When I think back to the complicated bottling negotiations a few years ago and compare it to how it's doing under new ownership, it's amazing. I am very happy that I could be, as a representative of the city, at the birth of this idea. I firmly hope that the cooperation between the city, BHMW, hoteliers, restaurateurs and others will continue, because this is the best promotion for Mariánské Lázně abroad.”
