Adventurous journeys of the creation of Czech spa locations from the beginning to the present day.
The project is initiated by the company BOHEMIA HEALING MARIENBAD WATERS a.s. as part of its activities to develop the Czech spa industry. The company holds the rights to sell and export important Czech natural healing resources and communicates with its customers who are interested in the Czech spa industry. It is the direct successor of the socialist Directorate of Springs, created by the nationalization of the Lobkovice princely directorate of springs. In past centuries, this traded Czech healing waters all over the world and achieved their fame and presence in all world encyclopedias.
The television series with the format of a documentary drama deals with mapping the history of important Czech spa locations. The program guide flips through the great chronicle of Czech balneology, and by stopping at each of the locations, one first sets out to study the place in the present, and after staying in the spa, a fictitious next day in the simulated "past" begins. Here, the program guide together with the cameraman visit the key events of the location and meet historical figures in dramatic and unconventional situations.
In places with a less entertaining history, creative invention and a fictitious story (for example, based on a rumor) begin. The series is intended to present the Czech spa industry as a modern present, to encourage the younger generation to take preventive stays. When choosing the actors, consideration will be given to the fresh and human conception of the history played, in order to limit the audience's feeling that the famous history is "long gone".
